I have a powerpoint that doesn't appear to be protected but it will not let
me hide slides or save it under a different name and I'm at a loss. Any help?

What version of PowerPoint are you using?

In the newer versions of PowerPoint, protected fonts that are embedded will
prevent editing. What fonts are used in this presentation? Is it possible
to ask the sender to save it again without embedding the fonts?

I don't think the person is still with us. Is there anything else I could try?

Find an older version of PowerPoint (2000 is good). Open the presentation
in this version and resave it (without embedding fonts).
