I have a HIJACKER!

Somehow I got hijacked....When I start my computer and
open a browser window (Windows XP), my home page is
changed to "Alfa-Search", no matter how many times I
change it, a bunch of porn crap is added to my FAVORITES
list, and no matter what I do, even if I have been idle
for a while and have no browser windows open, this porn
crap pops up, and if I'm not RIGHT THERE to kill it, it
will replicate, or keep popping up porn windows till my
computer locks up.

I've searched and found nothing, I've used Spybot,
Adaware and one other spyware killer and found nothing, I
ran Nortons a dozen times and found nothing, can someone
help me here, I really hope the engineers of these things
die of Ebola or something!!

Well the best thing to do is go through your harddrive
and delete stuff and then reinstall windows by booting
from the cdrom drive. It wont make you reformat your
drive but atleast it will overwrite all the windows files
and bootups. Another thing you can check is msconfig.
That can show you what loads at startup.
If nothing shows in msconfig, then redo windows like I
said first.

Make sure before you fix anything with hijack this you
have it set to backup,that way if you delete something
that you should not have you can restore it,or copy the
scan resulte with note pad and post it in the hijack thif
fourm
