Help needed with hijacker cns min
I have windows xp, free avg anti virus and bt yahoo anti-spy. Recently
after my anti-spy scan, I am left with cns min hijacker, which it says
is a threat but it cannot remove it! I have searched the forums for
advice and have now also downloaded and run the following free
programs, Spybot, Adaware and Spyware, they have found several items
that i have removed, but when i run the bt anti-spy program it still
says the hijacker is there and can't remove it, what else can I do? Can
you please keep any answers in basic language, any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Go through these general malware removal steps systematically -
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Include scanning with either Sysclean or Multi_AV, plus Ewido. Do all
prep/finishing work and follow instructions to do all scans in Safe
Mode.

When all else fails, run HijackThis and post your log in one of the
specialty forums listed at the link above (not here, please). You will
probably need to do this. I repeat: do *not* post your HijackThis log
here; register at one of the forums listed in the url above and post
*there*.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).

To Malke,
Thank you (and elephantboy computers) for your advice which I hav
followed, except Hijack This. Hijacker is still there although scan
done with Spybot etc in safe mode, although they did find a few other
and have removed them, the cns min hijacker does not at the moment see
to be bothering my computer too much, except for the fact that I seem t
get a lot
of junk E-Mail now. So thanks once again for taking the time to repl
to my query.
