Make Excel 2003 my default Excel program. Right now everytime I open
an Excel spreadsheet it opens Excel2000. I only need 2000 to open
certain files. Is there a way to make it so that 2003 opens all Excel
spreadhseets, and when I need 2000 just do a "open with" option. I'm
assuming it can be done in the registry, but unsure.

I take it that you have tried doing this with 2003? and checking the box
"always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

Hi

Uninstall Excel 2000? Why do you need both?

There is an essbase program that will only work with 2000. I don't
know why.

I will give that a try, and then use the "open with" excel 2000 for the
spreadsheets that require it.

Hi

Excel versions are backwardly compatible.
