Using PCs @ office @ home and on street brings me quickly to the following
question:

- Is it possible to have a Windows XP install built around complitely
different hardware with multiple configs?

Say we have Computer A, B and C with complitely different hardware; they all
use the same removable hard disk;
First, a fresh install is made on computer A; then the HD disk is moved on
computer B and e refresh install (booting from CD) is made; the same step is
performed on computer C.

XP now does the rest.

Is it possible? If so what probable drawbacks the user may encounter?

No, you cannot do that. You need an individual license (Product Key)
for each installation of Windows XP on a different computer. Otherwise,
you'll not be able to activate the second or third installation.

Carey, I'm just speaking technically, apart from licensing; imagine I do
have all the licenses I need. Once the 3 setup passes are done, would it
work? Would it be slow to boot, would it crash?

Thanks
