On my XP-Home Control Panel -- Network connections I have a Lacal connection
shown
How do I get to its IP properties to change IP-addresses?

Right click it and select properties on there under General Tab select the
Internet Protocol and click Properties.
You will have the choice to set it as Automatic (say from a router) or
static Also it could be from a router .
