I get an error message everytime Windows starts up.

Right when I log on my name, an error message pops up
from a program called "WJView" and it reads

"ERROR: Could not execute Main : The system cannot find
the file specified."

This began happening after I had installed several of the
optional updates from Windows Update, so I can't pinpoint
the one that did this.

Thanks a LOT! And for a second there, I thought I had
done something to my computer. I need to use this spybot
software more often, it seems to be better than Ad-aware,
that's for sure.

I doubt if it is an effect of an update. The startup is trying to run a
Java program that has been deleted - WJView is the launcher for the Java
engine. There seems to be some trojan around of this sort, and the AV
programs remove the Java file without removing the entry to run the
WJView and launch it: hence the error message. Start - Run - MSConfig
and in the Startup page look for a line for WJView as command and
uncheck it
