I get a runtime error when i try to open outlook. What's wrong?

I have Office XP. When I try to open Outlook, I get the following message:

RUNTIME ERROR!
Program C:progra~1\micros~3\office10\outlook.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I had a trial version of Outlook on my new Sony VAIO, which was working
fine. Then I installed a complete suite of Office XP and now I get the
Runtime Error message.

What's wrong? Thanks if you can help.

Try detect and repair on the trial version's help menu.
