I Fail to make a movie from differemt video clips

Hello there, I asked this question before, and Papajohn answered it, but I
deleted all the threads ..... sorry .......

I try to make a film from all different video clips, downloaded from
internet. Using WMM2 goes fine, but when finishing the movie, I get a AVI
file I cannot open or play in MMP10. It says error donwloading codec, and I
think I have ALL the codecs I can find. Wnt through the site of Papa John
also.

I cant use the file in Pinnacle studio either to make a DVD.

Different videoclips:
- differend frames per second
- different resolutions

So how can I solve the problem? Do I have to encode all the clips to ONE
format?

I made a film from video clips earlier this year, without any problem. So
what could be the problem now?
Do I still miss a codec?

Any help appriciated.

When one of the clips has a format that won't be supported bij WMP and MM2,
how can I track those? In what way can I see when a clip is - let's say -
'corrupt?
