I explorer processes won't self terminate

when I close Iexplorer it never clears the processes in
task manger. For Instance if I open and close it 5
times, and go under processes in task manager there are
five instances of iexplorer.exe still running? If I do
it 20 times, the same result. I have to manually end the
tack in processes, but if you go to applications under TM
it is empty. Anybody ever heard of this.

Yes. Some products (including IE) creates hidden windows to help "speed"
performance of drawing UI on the screen. In IEs case they do this in
addition to spawning thread instances of itself. Some times it ends up with
a rogue process but nothing showing up in Task Manager.
