I use the polish version of Outlook 2003. On the tab General of the Contact form I have
Full Name: John Smit
E-mail: (e-mail address removed)
Display as: John Smit

In the Reading Pane, in the "From" field (in the sent and receiced messages)
I want see only the display name (for example John Smith)
but I still see the name and the e-mail address (John Smith (e-mail address removed))

How can I get rid of the e-mail address from "From" field
I've tried to turn off smart tag, don't use Word as an editor, to change e-mail settings

What you see in your contact properties for that person has no bearing on
what the sender's display name is in a received message from them...it's
determined by their client or server.

Am I misunderstanding your question?

But I sent an e-mail to myself to test the Outlook's settings (because I have to prepare some pictures from Outlook to translated book). So I think the settings on my computer (in Outlook) decide how look messages which I sent and receiced using Outlook. Am I write or wrong?
I have Internet account, I'm not in a network with Exchange Server

The sender's display name is determined by the sender's mail client or mail
server. You control your own display name on messages you *send*.
