Have a little patience, it takes a little time. This isn't
instant messaging.

I posted a message to this newsgroup yesterday and I can't find it.
(It is showing in my sent folder.)

I sent a copy to a local newsgroup five minutes ago,
and I can find that OK, already.

Are you posting via msnews.microsoft.com? 'Cos if you are, there's problems.
Use the groups on your ISP's news server instead.

It is not a question of patience, mr. whatever. There are server
synchronization problems, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for over 5 days
now. Original posts are disappearing, leaving only the replies. Time lags
can approach 10 hours. This is far from normal, and is a result of the SWEN
worm.
The solution is to use your ISP newsreader, if you have one. Or, log on to
both, and go back and forth as the MS servers' performance fluctuates.

You would have better results if you used Outlook Express as your news
reader.

Not these days, Steve! The CDO is the dependable way to go
until the MS server problem resolves.
Inconvenient, but dependable.

There are other choices. Besides the CDO interface, there many
other news servers that carry these newsgroups and are working
dependably.
