how to log onto XP with administrators permission.
Thanks. I need this to download a patch and use a tool
to look for a virus on my computer.

You should be able to do this from any user ID on your setup that is an
administrator as opposed to limited account. You should not have to log on
to the system's hidden administrator account for this purpose.
