I have Windows XP Home Edition and I no longer have a driver for my speakers.
I have no sound and my speakers did work at one time. If anyone could help
me figure this out I would be so happy.

/ Control Panel / Device Manager indicates driver
problems with a yellow triangle alongside each device
(audio card in your case.)

If downloading newest drivers and installing them
does not cure your problem, repost with full details.
If you have Sound on Board (audio circuitry built
into the motherboard) be advised that in about 10
per cent of cases this is the first component on the
motherboard to fail. This is curable by (turning
off SoB in BIOS) and adding a PCI audio card
with drivers.

For your information, if your speakers use a standard "headphone"
style jack, then there is no drivers for the speakers. This type of
speakers required a working sound card. If you have a radio, mp3
player or other audio player, you can test the speakers by connecting
them to it.

If the speakers use USB type connectors, head to the speakers
manufacturer's web site and locate the drivers.
