I Do Not Get The Automatic Update Notification

Hi there in cyber land,

I am running windows xp pro and used to get notifications of ( windows
updates) on my computer. For some unknown reason I have stopped getting
these messages. I have checked if I have all the right settings but it just
won't inform me when new updates are available.

Can some one please help,
