Hello i am trying to find a website where i can re-install Mircosoft word for
windows xp because i had to delete it to make some for a game, i was
wondering you if knew any where i go find the software on the net.

You have to buy it! Microsoft Word is NOT free!

If you knew as much as you think you know,
You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew!

You know what would be helpful? Is if we could get responses to our
questions, regardless of how stupid they may sound to some of you, instead
of 'dream on' .. perhaps the writer is unaware of the fact he has to buy it.
These boards are for those of us who need help, those of us who are not as
knowledgeable as some, is that not correct?
Not to get smart ass answers in return.

I hate to say this, and I'm not be a smart-ass, but the OP clearly is
looking for a pirated copy as indicated by his method of wanting to
install it. If the OP had actually owned a copy he would have a CD or have
asked about getting a replacement (or something like that) CD.

Since none of us legit owners has ever installed Word from a "website", it
seems real clear to me that he wants a pirated copy, not sure how you
missed it.

And you could be right, however to the lay person, all I see is someone
asking a legit question.
Too much paranoia in the world today. Let's give people the benefit of the
doubt first.

I actually don't reply to people like that - I wasn't the one that made
the "dream on" reply. But I did want to suggest that when people make the
specific type of request that the OP did, that the OP was about 90% likely
looking for another pirated copy as only a pirate would be asking in the
manner they did.

Microsoft Word is not legitimately available for downloading, unless
you've a very expensive MSDN subscription.

Simply reinstall Word from the same CD from which it was originally
installed.

Granted...

perhaps the writer is unaware of the fact he has to buy it.

Not possible. Did he think it just appeared on his computer by magic?

there's also the option that it came with Microsoft Works that was pre-
installed on his computer. he also said deleted, and not uninstalled, to
make room for a game none the less, that would lead me to believe that he
may not have been aware that it wasn't part of windows.

also, if it was a pirated copy, since they knew where to get it the first
time, i would assume they had burned it to a cd or would know where to
get it again.

i vote for 'clueless', not pirate.

Hi, we no longer have word either. The only thing is, we don't know how or
why it's gone. If you find a way to re-download it, please do let me know. I
am about to write Microsoft a letter so I will let you know if I get
anywhere. Thanks

possess a very expensive MSDN (Microsoft Developers Network) subscription.

Simply use the CD from which Word was originally installed to
re-install it. If Word came pre-installed on your computer, the
necessary installation CD and documentation will be with the rest of the
CDs and paperwork that came with the computer.
