I deleted this Key, IE gone.

Hello,

I made a scan of my system with spybot. It listed K key/current user/
software/ microsoft/internet explorer/main/start page=about:blank.

I had this key deleted. Now I can`t find Internet explorer any -more.
Any suggestions appreciated. Phil

Use SpyBot's recovery mode, find the key and put it back!

I restored that key, but that is not my normal homepage. Now I have has my
starting page for IE http://home.megago.com. I can I go back to what I had
before ??

So, you have been hijacked!

Run SpyBot again. Have it delete the key, again.

Then, go into I.E. Properties (without starting I.E.) and type in the
address of the homepage you wish to start in. Close Properties. Then, start
I.E. Should be fixed.

BTW, SpyBot will allow you to prevent just that behavior that you have
experienced. You can "lock" down Internet Explorer to prevent these
hijackings. Click on the immunize button. Then immunize your system. Then,
scroll down to the bottom of the page and place 3 checks in the boxes.
