I accidentally deleted my pst file for Outlook 2000.
Subsequently my Outlook program froze and does not
function. I then opened my email account in Outlook
express, it works however I can't add or store any new
email address in my address book. Any ideas how to get
Outlook functioning again or how to rebuild a pst file so
I can get at my old emails??

If you deleted your PST and it's no longer in the Recycle bin, you are plain
out of luck. All your messages, Contacts, Notes, Calendar items, and all
were in that file. If you can't download a deleted file recovery utility
from the Internet, just chalk it off to a learning experience and create a
new PST. If Outlook is installed in Corporate/Workgroup mode, you can use
Control Panel>Mail to create a new mail profile. If installed in Internet
Mode Only, then someone more familiar with that mode will need to advise you
on how to create a new PST and have Outlook use it.
