I bought a new Gateway computer back in January of this year. Everything on
my computer worked great for about 43 days, just long enough to surpass my 30
day no question asked warranty. Now for some reason I can't watch my
basketball games. When this first happened I had to disable the pop up
blocker, remove the google toolbar, uninstall the Mcafee Security Suite (Due
to a conflicting firewall), turn off the Windows Firewall, and install SPY
Sweeper Antivirus and SPYware protection (Per Geeqsquad Request). I had a
system error Saturday and they told me to do a Factory Settings Restore. Now
I'm right back to having the same problems I had before! I have disabled and
uninstalled everything I mentioned before, as well as turn the internet
security settings to low, unblocked any and all cookies, and cleared my
history and internet cache. I'm not that saavy with computer's but I'm
learning more and more each day that I dislike "VISTA". My old computer with
XP works fine it's just to small of a processor and not enough ram to run the
desired programs I wish to view.
These are the specs of my computer:
Vista Home Premium
Intel Pentium Dual Processor at 2160 GHZ (1.8)
3 Gigs or Ram
400 Gigabyte Harddrive
Super Mutli DVD Burner
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 Video

I'm not sure what the heck is wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's a security
issue, seems how that's what has solved the issues in the past. I would
greatly appreciate any and all input that could possibly help me out!!! I
wanted to put my old XP on here, but apparently it's not new enough. So as
the saying goes I'm up that creek without that paddle. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Sincerely,
Lloyd Denny

You will probably get those sites again if you try it without add-ons, or
perhaps removing all add-ons and redownloading them as needed.

start/.../system tools/"IE (No Add Ons)"
(this may give you an informative error if you go to those sites.)

or
IE, tools, "Manage Add Ons" delete. (I would suspect one is corrupt)

Not to sound too caveman-esque but I was surprised I figured out how to do
these suggestions, but no battle was won. This annoying shiny new computer
still won't play any live basketball games, but I really appreciate your
efforts. Anything else I could possibly do?
Thanks and God Bless,
Lloyd Denny
