i can't type an address, my browser is corrupt!

Help! Everytime I try to type an address it redirects me to the same
webpage, which I don't want.

I try typing yahoo.com I get www.vrape.com (how embarrasing, I've never been
to this site, really!)

I try typing google.com I get www.vrape.com

If anyone could help it would be great,

Sounds like you have a 'dialer' in your registry that has
reset certain keywords like 'www.' and 'http.' in your
url typing to go to the site you mention...it's easy to
accidentally click on the popup window that does this.

Try something like Spybot Search and Destroy or Adaware
or anything that will search out dialer-type spyware.
That should help you out.

Also, you can do this manually if you change the redirect urls in this key
in the Registry :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AboutURLs

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/newsletter/archives/0803/12.php#cws and
read all about the CoolWebSearch malware. Then remove it with the CWS
Shredder (there's a link at that page).
