I can't see slides I have inserted from another file

I am trying to insert slides from another file into one presentation. I see
the files that I want to insert but when I hit "insert all" it looks like
they insert but the new presentation shows them as blank slides. What do I
need to do to get these slides to display?
 
What version of PowerPoint are you using?
Are you viewing them in Normal mode or Slide Sorter mode?
Do they show in Slide Show mode?
