I can't see gifs working whilst browsing the web?

I can't see gifs working whilst browsing the web? Instead
I see a stationary jpeg... but no movement!

Can anbody help... please?

Why don't my animated gifs animate?

Take note of the mention of firewalls like @Guard as others like Zone
Alarm Pro and NIS may also have a disable option.
