I Can't see files in windows explorer staring with "q"

When I create a file or Folder starting with letter "q" the file or
folder just disappears! and is NO longer visible under windows explorer

or Dos Prompt.

If I try to create a new file with the same name i get "A file with
the name you specified already exists" although its not visible at
all!!!


All other letters work OK. Its Driving me crazy! I never saw something
like it!


I run windows XP SP2

Sample of names that i cant create:
Quickbooks
Q
q
qwww
q11

anything that starts with "q"

The Haxdoor virus has been known to hide every file and folder starting with
Q and also rd and rec. Variants of the virus play other tricks.

Thank You! at least i have a place to start I use Antivir and it did
report Haxdoor! it cant remove it though. but at least i know what to
do
