I can't see a template I created when applied

I created a slide to use a template. I can see it in the template list, but
when i apply it to my presenation, I don't see the borders and graphics that
I have created. I can see other templates, however.

That's because you have to put the elements and borders and stuff on the
slide master when you create the template.
