i cant retrive my password

hi i messed up big time it might seem dumb but i decided
to change the password on my windows 2000 system and i was
tired and i forgot it so im trying to find some help and
when i tried to get help from microsoft they said that it
would cost me money cause the program is a busniess type
but i use it as a home computer so im really stumped can
any one help me get my computer back
