hi, im hoping that someone can help me with my problem, ive had my dell
computer which is windows vista home premium, for about 7 months now! im not
very good with computers cause im new with this, well one day i put my
password in like i always do to log in to my account, when i was done with
what i was doing, i walked away for about 5 min, when i came back it was back
on the log on when you first get on, i put my pass word back in again and it
would not let me get in, not because it was the wrong password, and thats
what my problem is, why would it do this? i already sent it out to be
rebooted cause i forgot my administrative password, the one you put on for
your computer thingy when you first get it, i know, i shouldnt of put a
password in, now i know cause no matter who i call, microsoft, comcast or
whoever, they say they cant help me!! great right? has anyone here ever have
this happen to them? please let me know what it was so that i wont let it
happen again, also when i logged on to another standerd account that i have,
it wouldnt let me go onto websights, it would give me a bad request message
saying that i was typing address in wrong when i wasnt even typing them in
please help me? thanks patty

I have the same problem too. A few months ago i bought my laptop (hp dv6735)
and have my user account set up initially to administrator account only. A
few days ago i created a new account and assigned it as the administrator,
and my old account i switched as the standard user account.

Now, i cannot access my adminstrator account anymore and it prompts "logon
failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this
computer". I am really sure that my password is correct, but i am wondering
(like crazy) why i cannot access my administrator account? there are required
software updates that i cannot install anymore as it needs adminitrator
permission...please help us
