Try copying the files locally & run setup from there. Same results?

It could be you have a corrupt file due to a scatch of the disc itself.

Mr Purple Berry,
Following on from what "SPAMCOP User" wrote;
you need to investigate whether it is your cd-rom *drive* that is the
problem or (what I think IMO is the problem) the disk itself.

Take the disk to another computer, that you know has a good cd drive,
and try copying all the files onto a pendrive.

Even if it is the disk, trying to copy using another cd drive, *may*
work whereas your own drive does not.

With lightly scratched disks, sometimes, trying a different drive in a
different computer works.

Worth a try.

If you can just get the files copied onto a another [pen] drive, then it
should be a doddle setting up 'Office' from the portable disc.

faulty.Thanks.
