I can't print any more

I installed a MOTU midi interface but afterwards nothing
will print on any port (MIDI on lpt1:, printer on lpt2.

Problem is, uninstalling the MIDI system results in a
system that will no longer print (error 63, out of
resources... restarting spooler won't help). Removing all
parallel ports and drivers and reinstalling won't help.
Reinstalling printer drivers won't help.

I've been doing things over and over again for about 20
hours.

I've run out of restore points.

Win XP. AMD Athlon.

Any suggestions?

Is the LPT port still enabled in the BIOS?

Do you get any error messages when you try to install?
