I cant open .pot templates in PP2003?

I cant open my .pot templates in powerpoint 2003, it says i probably need .ppt.
So i do i change that file to a .ppt format?

Have you update your PowerPoint 2003 with all the Service packs? How are you
trying to open them?

What says you probably need .ppt? Are you getting an error message?

If so, can you tell us how you're trying to open the .pot file and the exact
text of the error message you're receiving?
