I can't open my outlook!

My outlook icons aren't working. Outlook will not open. I click on the
icon, it will hourglass for a few seconds and then stops. Where did my email
go?
 
Check your processes to see if you have multiple instances running. Use your
Task Manager to do this.
 
My outlook also seems to be stuck. The Outlook window does open but I can
only see what messages are waiting or have been opened. The message on the
list that is highlighted won't display on box below. A few times when I open
OUtlook, there have been two instances appearing on the bar down near "Start"
button. I have powered off a few times.

Also, if I get into "Add/remove programs? and push "repair" to reinstall,
will I lose stored e-mails, contacts, calendar entries, et5c?
 
P.S. - Task manager also shows 2 instances running, but when I close one,
they both close. How do I fix this?
