I can't open file, unrecognized database format

I'm trying to open my database and I keep getting that message(unrecognized
database format) i didn't do anything different to it. Can anyone help me?
 
Your database might got corrupted.
Try to repair it with Extras->Database Utilities->Compress and Repair

I hope you did make a backup copy to check if the same problem occurs
with your backup version ...
