I cant go online & my PC is working in the background.

I have a problem, i can't go online (but the internet works on my other PC's)
and my PC is working in the background and i don't even know what it is.
Could it possible be a spyware? I don't get any error reports. I had this
problem before and it dissapeared when i formatted my HDD. I don't want to
format my HDD again. Please help me.

well here is some info about my computer.
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP2
CPU: Intel Celeron 3,066 GHZ
RAM: 512 mb (DDR PC 2700)
Videocard: ATI Radeon 9600 XT 256 mb (Sapphire Atlantis)
Soundcard: Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Z2 24-bit
HDD: 160 GB
Motherboard: SiS 661 (im not sure)
Antivirus: Yes, Norton 2005 Internet Security (not anti spyware edition)
Fileformat: FAT 32

Other forms of malware - spyware, adware, keyloggers, etc. - can do just as
much or more damage than the worst of the viruses, and they can be much

BTW: NTFS is a more secure and stable format than FAT32.

Dump Norton and get AVG (By Grisoft).
Do a good Virus scan and then run Spybot Search & Destroy.
That should find the problem you describe.
