I can't get the driver or toolbox to install

I have windows xp home edition and I have tried and tried to install the printer but it won't install the driver or toolbox

Did you download up to date drivers from the printer manufacturer's website
and install them BEFORE you connected the printer to the PC as per the
manufacturer's website?
