I can't encrpyt. Help please. My hard drive is NTFS. The "encrypt contents
to secure data" box in the "Advanced Attributes" window of the "Properties"
of a file window is faded and I can't check the box.

Any ideas why?

Thank you very, very much.

Hi,

You must:

- be using WinXP Pro
- be on an NTFS partition

An additional note: READ CAREFULLY everything you can about using EFS. You
need to back up certificates and/or create a recovery agent to guard against
loss of data. I would suggest you do both AND learn how to use them BEFORE
you encrypt anything critical.
