I can't autoarchive after importing from outlook express

I imported all email from outlook express to outlook 2003 on 29 June 2005. I
am now trying to autoarchive all folders, but only emails created after the
import date are able to be archived. How do I autoarchive all of the old
imported mail?

What criteria are you using since the items from OE probably have a
modification date of 6/29/2005 which is the date used by auto-archiving

Thanks for the reply Vince.

Note that in my original post I should have said archiving, not
autoarchiving, although that's largely irrelevant.

I first tried archiving anything older than 1 July 2005 which should have
covered the imported mail from OE of 29 June 2005. It didn't work. Then I
tried again archiving everything older than 1 August 2005. It is then that I
realised all newly created mail created between 30 June 2005 and 1 August was
succesffully archived, but none of the 29 June emails or prior (ie those
emails imported from OE).

So now I'm in the unenviable position of having my Archive Folders contain
all mail between 30 June 2005 and 1 August 2005, and my Personal Folders
contain all other mail (ie. prior to 30 June and after 1 August).

It certainly seems like a massive bug in the software. It's a shame it
works on the modification date as this appears to be where the bug lies. If
you could choose to archive on Received date then the problem could be solved.

Any advice gladly received.
