Hi,

First off all i want to say: "Microsoft anti spyware is the
best anti spyware i ever used."

But i have a problem at the moment. I can't activate my
realtime agents. I click on activate but nothing happens. I
tryed to deinstall en reinstall microsoft anti spyware but
it gives the same problem.

What do i do wrong or what should i do?

Greatz,

Cornille Michiel

Try these two solutions:

1) do an update install--control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft
Antispyware, change, update.

Then, try these steps:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware

You can go ahead and do both of these--neither has any downside risk--and
see if that does the job. Let us know whether it does, or not!

I tried number two and it worked liked the first time.
Not only did it reactivate the realtime agents it also
reactivated the Advanced Tools also which had seemingly
disappeared, Thanks.....

Interesting--this thead is illustrative of the difficulty in doing this kind
of support work online. In Vinnie's case--if he'd indicated that he was
missing the System Explorers, I would have posted fix2 immediately.

However, it has taken me months to recognize that some of the posters with
"can't activate real time agents" really have the syndrome which fix2 fixes,
while others have simply deactivated them and find that they don't
reactivate--which fix1 has fixed for Michiel, I suspect.
