I cann't open an E-mail that has word in it as an attachment.I need help please.

My new e-mail is vista windows, and when I get an e-mail with an attachment
that is a word document, I cannot open that attachment. Can any one help me
please.
 
From a security viewpoint, it is not wise to open an attachment
without saving it first. Can you open a saved copy of the attachment?
If you don't mind lowering your security profile, go to Tools >
Options > Security, uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
