I cannot use my touchpad scrolling function in microsoft word 2007

I'm using an IBM T43 laptop and I cannot use the touchpad scrolling region in
microsoft word 2007 neither can I use the trackpoint to scroll. Is this
feature not supported in Office 2007?

It's not a question of Word supporting or not supporting anything, if your
touchpad driver - or additional software - sends the right signal to Word,
Word will act on it. The place to look is the touchpad support - probably on
the Control panel.
