I cannot save my work in Microsoft Word

I am having trouble saving my work on MS Word. When I click on 'save as' it
says that I must be logged on to Credential Manager to use this
functionality. But I have never had to do that before. Also Word files that
I know are in My Documents dissapear when I try and open them when I am in
Word.
