It was working last week but now nothing. I recieve this message:
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.pointofsolutions.com', Server:
'mail.pointofsolutions.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x80004005
My internet server emails are working perfectly. I called Network Solutions
and they said it was Windows. What can I do?

Which antivirus are you using?
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

I tried that. Still no email. I can still send but not recieve. I cleared my
inbox, deleted box , still no mail.

This is the new error message:
Account: 'mail.pointofsolutions.com', Server: 'mail.pointofsolutions.com',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR authorization failed', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Do you have access to another computer?
It would be interesting to try it on a different computer in order
to determine if the fault lies with your computer or with the
mail server.

Another good test scenario would be to install Mozilla Thunderbird
or Windows Live Mail on a temporary basis. If it works, that would
suggest a corrupted Windows Mail. If it doesn't work, that would
suggest a corrupted Vista, or a mail server malfunction.
