I cannot read an e-mail that is Excel

New computer with Microsoft already installed. Cannot read e-mail that was
written with Excel.
 
1. This is not the NG for this kind of question. It is for MS Acces, a
database software;
2. "Microsoft what" installed? Windows? Most likely, what else?
3. Excel is not for writing email
4. If you received email with Excel file (*.xls) attached, you need have MS
Excel installed to open/read it.
