I cannot open outlook 2007

For some reason Microsoft Outlook will not open. Windows tells me it was not
closed down properly and do I want to open in Safe Mode. I click 'Yes" and
then windows says it has stopped working and will close and try to find a
solution but no solution is found. Please help.
 
Start by running scanpst against your PST file(s).

When you close Outlook (after repairing the PST file(s)), check in Task
Manager (Processes tab) if Outlook really closes.
