I cannot believe this!!!

R

R. L.

I recently posted three threads about litesteps: one about
memory usage, one with firefox, and one like a test. But none
of this thread show up in my server! I hate that. I realize
it shows up in google but I can't get it here with my
newsreader

:-(

Sorry guys I couldn't join the discussions after starting the
thread. I don't know *WHY* is it so and *WHAT* make post with
litestep in the subject make it invisible to my newsreader!!!

:-( :( :0(

RL,

Appears that some ISP's are having a problem - mine included. I've made
posts yesterday that still have not shown up but yet I've read posts from
people responding to them on acf. A Google search shows my posts but the
original post does not shoe in acf. Gotta be some kind of weird filtering
going on.... or possibly a full moon?

Ohhhhh... I just figured it out..... John C. has just put a reverse-kill
filter on us. That's gotta be it.........;-)

Must be some type of filtering. As for me, it only occurs
when the tile contains the term "Litestep" (not Lite___step or
some others) - but guess what, I would never know what other
I've missed anyway because you only notice those that you
posted. For my litestep threads, I saw all the *whole* threads
showing up intacted in Google but none of the posts show up
here. But the even more puzzling thing about it to me is that
why the term "Litestep" will be in some ISP header filter??
Go figure!

lol...that would be magical!

It's a Microsoft conspiracy to keep us all using explorer.exe. ISPs
are easily bribed.

And you're sure it is not *you* doing the filtering?

In fact, the first thing I checked was my xnews score file to
see if there was any Litestep entries in there, but find none.

Upon your suggestion, I look again with a different newsreader
and test my Hamster sever. Guess what, the threads *do* show
up in Pimmy! Then, I went to check the Xnews scorn file again
and I still couldn't find the relevant entries...so..cold-
bloodedly...I did: Alt+A delete! Reload all the articles, and
there they are...the strangest thing.
Now I see the thread but will need to rebuild my 4 years score
file, yes!!! :)

That /is/ cold-blooded. You could've mercifully renamed score.ini.
Or used the checkbox in the 'Special' pull down menu to disable
scoring.

Don't be unkind.

R.L was probably steaming mad, perhaps had a few beers, was frustrated
to hell.
We've all been there... :)

I honestly didn't mean to be unkind, just to point out options to
anyone having trouble with Xnews scoring. Hopefully R.L.'s new
scorefile will be better than ever before. :)

I don't know R.L. personally, but "steaming mad and a few beers seems way
out of character ;) But you're right...we've all been there. Now where
did I leave the #%$@!! bottle opener?

Oh, boy, you bet I was! Couldn't figure what entries was
causing that!

I did disable scoring first....but then hel* what the hack i
found i wasn't going to figure out which evil entry was that
anyway :p
Hopefully R.L.'s new scorefile will be better than ever
before. :)

You bet, :)

Well there you go...I've never been accused of being *civilized* and
Heineken don't use a twist-off cap. :) Although the Heineken I have has
been in the fridge awhile. :p
