Can you be more specific? Do you want to select a random image, or do you
just want something to set a specified image as wallpaper, or...

No need to be random.
I want to be able to use command line to specify an image for
wallpaper. So I can set up a task schedule to do (or for that
matter write a script for it), without runing something like a
wallpaper changer in the backgroud in the background. Thanks.

If you're interested, you are welcome to a copy of my WPSet program, which
does exactly what you want.
It's one very small (23 KB) file, and it contains absolutely no spy-, ad-,
mal-, or other "nasty-ware".

It's used like this: WPSet "C:\My Images\Wallpaper\NewWallpaper.bmp".
Note that the image filename MUST be enclosed in quotes if it has any
embedded spaces.
It will work with a BMP file directly, as well as a JPG file by first
converting it to a BMP.
It does not change the Center/Tile/Stretch setting; it just sets the
wallpaper image.

Send me an e-mail if you want a copy!

Regards,
Eric

yea, erics programis pretty good. i use it on my machine at once. another
thing you can do is snag "themes.exe" from any 9x or ME machine (or even 2K)
and run the command "themes /r"

Is there something like this??? (for XP)

Get the "BlackBox for Windows" package from http://www.bb4win.org .
Extract just 'bsetbg.exe' and 'bsetroot.exe'. Copy those to your Windows
directory. Then try:

start -> run -> bsetbg 'Path to a image file'.

Hmm...that makes me think of something, if I use this while I
am using Litestep, would there be a conflict?

Some time ago I used to use bsetroot to change the wallpaper when
switching themes in LiteStep (0.24.6) and it worked Ok at that time.
