I can receive but not send email and "authentication" icon is che.

I'm using Outlook 2003 and I can receive email but can't send. I looked at
the settings tab to ensure the "authentication" box is checked and it is.
Anyone have any suggestions for a remedy?

Uncheck the authentication tab and try again. Most ISP's do not use SPA or
secure servers.
 
And if that doesn't work, what happens when you try to send? Do you get
error messages? If so, what are they?
