i can not send out email using outlook 2003 through gmail.

WHEN I TRY TO SEND EMAIL ALL THE SUDDEN I GET THIS. I USE SIERRA WIRELESS

Task 'pop.gmail.com - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The operation
timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'
 
Check to make sure you use all of the directions from gmail to set up your
mail, especially the correct server ports.

Did you ever enable the POP option in your Gmail account?

Yet tried disabling the e-mail scanning function in your anti-virus
software? Sometimes this is not sufficient and you must uninstalled and
do a fresh install of the antivirus product but do a custom install and
NOT include their e-mail scanner component.
 
Is gmail AT&T?????

What does AT&T know about Gmail? You should be contacting Google for Gmail
support.
