Please take a look at the article and perform the steps described. 266668 Add/Remove Programs Tool Displays Installed Programs Incorrectly http://support.microsoft.com/?id=266668 We have also seen this problem after the installation of McAfee Anti-virus. If you have this application installed on your PC try the following steps: To resolve this issue 1. Check the registry for the following keys and values. Re-create any missing keys or values. - [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\.htc] "Content Type"="text/x-component" 2. Restart the Computer. Add/Remove Programs should now display the programs correctly in Add/Remove Programs. MORE INFORMATION ================ Apparently, this problem has been addressed in version 6.02 of McAfee VirusScan Professional. Good Luck,
