I browse but no ping

I can browse, but I can not ping .

any explanation?

Browse what? Ping what? More info might help. Are you talking about local
computers/servers or websites?

Hello Tom,

Some websites do not allow you to ping their webservers.
As long as you are getting name resolution you should be fine and able to
browse.

You should be able to ping www.yahoo.com. Note that many sites block ICMP
packets.
