I am unable to save appointments in my Outlook Calendar?

I am trying to book appointments in my Outlook calendar but I keep getting
the messsage 'could not save item'. I have created appointments in this
calendar in the past with no problems. Any suggestions?
 
Any changes made to your system or Outlook profile. I would start by running
a Detect and Repair on Outlook plus make sure all the updates have been
installed. If still persist create a new profile to see if that resolve the
issue, if not reinstall the program. I did not see any command line fixes
that could be ran to fix the issue - are you having any other issues with
Outlook?
