I am not receiving all my email

I have windows wp with outlook.
When I am receiving my mail, it tells me I am receiving 8 but only get 3.
Or I am suppose to get 4 and get 1.
I can't find where it is going and I have no rules set up.
Help

What version of Outlook? What sort of mail account(s)?
